A Forever Home Rescue Foundation

Finding forever home for dogs in need

Gwen

Gwen lost her owner who tragically drowned. She was left to birth her pups in a dog house during a deep freeze. Gwen and her surviving pups are safely in foster care. Gwen is a beautiful  girl who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. She is just patiently waiting to find her forever family so she can start her journey to a wonderful life that she so deserves.

Rango

Rango is a cute little Hound mix with a tragic story. He was found in rural Mississippi with a painful steel leghold trap clamped on one of his feet. A sheriff was driving down a country road and saw Rango dragging himself toward the road.  There is no telling how long this poor boy suffered. Because his foot and leg were badly infected, Rango’s leg had to be removed, but now he is doing amazingly well.  Having only three legs doesn’t slow him down one bit! His will to live really shines through. Now he just needs a forever family.

50/50 Raffle

We’re doing it again! AFH is holding a 50/50 raffle!

Created using the Donation Thermometer plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/donation-thermometer/.$40,000Raised $12,200 towards the $40,000 target.$12,200Raised $12,200 towards the $40,000 target.31%
So far we have raised $12,200 towards our $40,000 target! That‘s 31% of the total! The raffle winner gets 50% of the total amount raised, the rescue gets the other 50% (thus 50/50!)

A Forever Home Rescue Foundation (AFH) is hosting a 50/50 raffle, with half of the proceeds going to one lucky winner and the other half going directly to support the medical expenses of the rescue’s pups.

AFH has saved many thousands of abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted puppies and dogs over our 20+ years of operation. Veterinary expenses are our single largest expenditure, often tens of thousands of dollars a month. Not only will proceeds from this raffle help us to continue to provide quality medical care for the animals in rescue, but also it will give us a little cushion to cover extraordinary medical costs such as surgeries, heartworm treatments, and emergency medical situations.

With a maximum of 2,000 tickets available, your odds of winning are great, and the impact you’ll make on the lives of these animals is even greater. You do not need to be present to win.

So why wait? Buy your tickets today and help make a difference in the lives of dogs in need. Who knows? You could be the lucky winner of the 50/50 raffle and walk away with up to $20,000 in cash, all while knowing that your contribution helped make the world a better place for dogs in need. You will receive a confirmation email following the successful completion of the purchase of your ticket(s). The winner will be drawn on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Girls on the Run Fundraiser!

The Waples Mill Elementary Girls on the Run team hosted a “Pizza for Pups & Cookies for Cats” pizza and bake sale on May 15th! The girls brainstormed, planned, and implemented the event independently with guidance from their Girls on the Run (GOTR) coaches. This community impact project is one of the girls’ capstones upon completing the 10-week program that focuses on preparing them with life skills to help them be healthy, joyful, and confident. On Saturday, May 20th, the girls completed their second capstone – a 5K run/walk – celebrating all their accomplishments. The Waples Mill GOTR team all have an enthusiastic passion for helping those in our community, especially our four-legged friends, and said this “was the best service project” they’ve ever done! The girls are proud to share that their efforts raised $200 for A Forever Home and are happy to help the pups and kittens in our community.

Lucy (Monica’s Belle)

Hi, We adopted Monica’s Belle in November. She now goes by Lucy and has settled into our home and our hearts very well! We graduated from Puppy Kindergarten class this evening and thought we would share a photo of the goodest girl 😉. Thank you for all the care you guys gave her. I know she had a wonderful foster Mom in Tricia (who I believe went on to adopt Lucy’s brother Thor). The strong start she got in her foster home has gone a long way in making her a success.
